Dr. Douglas K. Parker has been in full time Music Ministry for more than thirty years.  Dr. Parker brings to RiverOak experience, excitement, and expertise in the development of graded choir and orchestra programs.  During his years of service, Dr. Parker has orchestrated hundreds of vocal and instrumental charts, as well as directed a variety of seasonal music presentations. 

He has written more than 100 praise and worship choruses; produced several recording projects; and has been honored to speak and lead worship at both international and state events.  Dr. Parker is one of the founding members of Anointed Praise Music, and a member of the Church of God National Music Advisory Council since its inception in 1998.  He has also been an adjudicator for International Teen Talent Competition for the Church of God since 1984.  During his college years, he traveled with the Archers, Lee Singers, and other ministry teams.

He received a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance from Fresno State University in Fresno, California, which is his home town.  Both his Master’s and his earned Doctorate in Ministry were completed at Carolina University of Theology in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Dr. Parker is married to the former Davonna Martin, who plays a vital role in ministry as a gifted pianist.  They have two sons, Kenneth and Jesse.   Kenneth is married to Amy, and they are the parents of the Parker’s two wonderful grandchildren – Wyatt (grandson) age 6; Lauren (granddaughter) age 2.
