![]() Donnie R. Anderson Senior Pastor RiverOak Church of God Danville, VA 24541 Dr. Donnie Anderson has been in full time Christian ministry since 1978. He is an Ordained Bishop for the Church of God, and is presently serving as Senior Pastor of the RiverOak Church of God in Danville Virginia. He served two terms as Eastern North Carolina Evangelism and Home Missions Director having oversight of church planting and evangelistic activities for the 231 churches of the state, and worked closely with the administrative bishops whom he served. He also served as Director of the Children’s Home in Kannapolis, North Carolina where more than $200,000.00 in renovations and repairs were done and increases in children, finances and 120 Club Memberships were dramatic. Bishop Anderson is a successful pastor having served six churches during his 29 year pastoral career. He is presently serving the RiverOak Church in Danville Virginia. Other congregations he led include Praise Fellowship – Fayetteville (C & Adam Street), White Oak in Carteret County, West Mount in Rocky Mount, Kenly, and Rosewood in Goldsboro; all congregations in North Carolina. In addition to pastoral duties Bishop Anderson also preaches revivals, crusades, and conferences in the United States and internationally. He received an Associate Degree in Business Administration at Mount Olive College in North Carolina, and furthered his studies at William Carter Bible College, East Coast Bible College – now Lee University in Cleveland Tennessee, and completed an earned Doctorate in Divinity and Theology from Catalpa Bible Way University. He received his denomination’s highest award in the Ministerial Internship Program, receiving the program’s Distinguished Service Award. He built and remodeled churches and family life centers, Co-chaired the Cooperative Christian Ministry Steering Board serving 40 churches and ministries, and has served on numerous state boards, councils and committees. He has been active in community affairs throughout his ministry, and is presently serving as President of the House of Hope Homeless Shelter Board of Directors and Executive Committee, a member of the Westover Christian Academy Pastors’ Advisory Board, and Chaplain at Danville Regional Medical Center. Bishop Anderson is married to his lovely wife Debra, who is an active and vital asset to the ministry where they serve. They have a beautiful daughter, Rebekah, a handsome son-n-law, Cory, and a gorgeous grandson, Elighja Ray; all three are talented and have a heart for the Lord and his service. |
